Newark and Sherwood Concert Band come to Stapleford
This year is a year of celebrations; Stapleford Town Council is celebrating 30 years since its re-establishment and Newark and Sherwood Concert Band (NSCB) is celebrating its 20th Anniversary; so the two have joined forces for, ‘one night only’ to bring you a concert of celebration on Saturday 7th October 2017, with all profits going towards the annexe project at St Helen’s Parish Church.
NSCB is a Concert Band regularly performing throughout the County. Based at Kelham Hall the Band regularly plays to sell out audiences at a variety of venues from the Palace Theatre, Newark to outdoor events some of the most picturesque churches in the East Midlands and on occasion even outside Football Grounds!
The band draws on a diversity of musical styles, from light classics to contemporary compositions and from film and show compilations to Big Band favourites.
Led by Conductor and Musical Director Colum J O’Shea the band has gone from strength to strength and is in constant demand.
St Helen’s Parish Church is a beautiful venue for music with fantastic acoustics a real feeling of place which lends itself so well to musical performance.
You will be ‘blown away’ by this fantastic Wind Band and will not want to miss the musical event of the season.
